The ultimate reason for bottom paint is to protect the hull from zebra mussels and algae. If you trailer your boat, there is no need to have the bottom painted. But if it stays in the water, it will take just one week for algae to grow. Marine boat bottom paint provides your boat with a protective coating against such growth.

Boat Shrink Wrapping Service

Shrink wrap is one of the best ways to protect your boat from snow and ice during winter storage. Shrink wrap helps to keep your boat warm so that any snow and ice will melt and slide off. It also keeps your boat dry on even the worst winter days.

Shrink wrap is available in three colors: white, blue and clear. In Northeast Ohio, with our colder winter climate, we tend to use blue shrink wrap as it heats up better than white shrink wrap.

At Boating Headquarters, we have shrink wrapped many boats. We will schedule an appointment to allow you at least 24 hours to prepare the boat for shrink wrapping. The customer is responsible for dropping the canvas, removing and storing canvas bows, any antennas, and any other equipment that may protrude from the boat and interfere with shrink wrapping. Boating Headquarters will be responsible for building the wood frame, running the belly band, shrink wrapping the boat, and installing air vents.
